I was wondering if anyone else listen to music while studying?
I recently dowloaded some free podcasts called relaxation music for sleep (Dr. Harry Henshaw) and they are pretty good if you want a smooth background sound/music… but I would like to find something else to put as background music… but nothing that hurts my concentration…
Any ideas?

di.fm trance channel. it’s like speed. got me through all 3 levels….

Me too. But when there is background noise-like construction or kids-tv-etc. Then it helps. I put on game music on-like finalfantasy-helps because it has a constant beat.

I used ear plugs whenever I study. I listened to music while studying in college but time is too short now to have any distractions. Music sometimes makes my mind wander, even if it’s just a loop.

Cold play…Bon jovi…U2….anything to keep me from falling asleep.

I use a white noise track… its incredible.
It just seems to make everything else go away.

Taylor Swift… Lady Gaga… Rocky Balboa Soundtrack (any of the Rocky soundtracks are solid, but Balboa has the Three 6 Mafia track that is awesome!)

Listen to the album: divenire (piano chillout) when grinding through q-back - I’ve become addicted this week

I switch between Mozart, Bach, and Rammstein.. those Germans sure make great music!

I used to listen to Sigur Ros and Vivaldi…stuff I couldn’t sing to…then I found Alpha and Theta Binaural Beats.
Check them out on YouTube. Awesome to study to since it’s not music, it’s more like background noise but it really helps with focus

Pink Floyd: The division bell. Light, slow, and keeps competitive feeling.

I would be happy to send you some stations. I have pandora stations for Ulrich Schnauss and Mogwai - both are chill electronica/ambient music. I also like Ludovico Einaudi, he’s all piano-based so more classical sounding, but not in a Beethoven way.
I find that when reviewing the readings, it’s better to listen to music. But when testing myself, either through flashcard memorization or through the practice exams, earplugs are the way to go. Part of that is just getting used to the earplugs since that’s what I’ll be wearing on exam day.
