Study Strategy for June 08

mino, your questions are too general to get any meaningful feedback.
Why don't you start by doing your homework and using the search function to review the numerous, insightful posts on this topic. Then go ahead and browse the product offerings from several study programs.
Finally, come back to us with a proposed strategy you intend to use and ask for specific feedback.
You're going to find there's as many legitimate study approaches as there are candidates in the program and that you'll have to find the one that suits your own strengths and constraints.
Generally speaking, I'd suggest about 3-6 months of study including 3-6 weeks of review prior to the exam, consisting of flash-cards, practice exams (at least 3) and practice problems. Don't waste your time with reading notes. Just my $0.02.

Actually Danteshek and nolabird032, I'm a Level II candidate. So not only do I have a strategy that's proven its merit, I'm certainly not aiming to "throw off" any of you kitties.
To the contrary, I've invested substantial time answering questions posted by LI candidates to the best of my ability and have received mostly positive feedback.
Oh, and here's speaking from experience:
I took 300+ pages of notes for LI in June '06 and my result on that exam speaks for itself. F-ing waste of time.
Good luck writing your own novel of notes though...
I'll be waiting in line for an autographed copy of the first edition.

settle down there, big guns. take a deep breath. now... go back and read your first post. you said "Don't waste your time with reading notes." You did not say "writing or taking notes." Due to the fact that posters on this forum refer to the schweser notes as "notes," i'm sure that a reasonable hitman like yourself can see the misunderstanding.
it appeared that you were advising mino to not read the material, which is just plain silly.
i dont take novel of notes either, but if i ever decide to do that, i'll be sure to send you an autographed copy

Actually, I was asking in terms of the subject, not material.
For example, should I start with FSA or Econ? I think there should be a good order to study these different areas.
My plan is to study from CFAI and Schweser subject by subject and solve the related test questions. I have a lot of time till June, so I think it would not hurt to read CFAI besides Schweser..

I suggest scanning all the topics and LOS to determine which will be most challenging for you and starting there, allowing yourself maximum time to learn that material. Otherwise, progressing sequentially is fine too, keeps it simple, worked for me.

i suggest u go thru it in the same order its presented. Ethics, Quants, ECON, FSA, Fixed Income, Equity, Derivatives then Ethics again.
Doing it that way always gives me a sense of direction and followng the numbers as in SS1, SS2.. etc. always makes me feel i accompolished something.
I also suggest u do loads of questions on the topic before moving on.

i would suggest the following order..
FSA (Maximum weightage, you must do this first and revise it thoroughly)
Economics
Ethics
and remaining portion in any order depending on your strengths and weaknesses .. study the ones which you havent come across first and then the topics which you are familiar with ..
