I have more than a year to study for the CFA Level I exam. Instead of waiting 6 months to start studying, I thought it may be more efficient to study for the CFA Level II also during this time, putting myself in a strong position to take Level I in December and Level II in June. My approach would be to study for the CFA Level I for 4 months (Jan-Apr), then study certain topics in CFA Level II for 4 months (May-Aug), and then revisit the CFA Level I materials for the remaining 4 months (Sept-Dec). Assuming I pass Level I, I would likely have to revisit much of the Level II materials, but re-learning materials is typically faster the second time around. What do you all think? I’d be interested in hearing other approaches. Thanks.

???
Makes no sense to me. If you´re planning to study four months for L1, register for June 2016. Then (if you´ll pass…) you have appr. one year for L2, which is imho way harder than L1.

Yeah I totally agree with the above….there seems no point in delaying your Level 1 until December and trying to study both levels at once. Take L1 in June 2016…pass it….then study for L2 in June 2017. Simples…
What thought process leads you to believe your way is better than that? Makes no sense to me.

Sounds easy enough. I did L1 and L2 exams on the same day as they were that easy.

Wish I could package that idea and send it to my enemies.

this

You cannot register for L2 if you have not passed L1 and you cannot register for L3 if you have not passed L2.
Besides, the exams are on the same day, same time, how can you do both exams at the same time?
Maybe I’m wrong. If so, please correct me.

If you want to do in record 1.5 year all 3 levels then you will probably have to do in parallel L2 and L1.
However, I would do L1 in June 2016 it is six months away now, it should be enough.
If you fail you can try Dec 2016 and then you can start also L2 for 2017 because L1 you will already know a lot.

if one does not work and can put all his time in prepering the exam six months is more than enough.

Ur wrong. I did it. L1 and L2 is easy IMO.
My friend was able to do L2 and L3 on the same day too but he’s some sort of genius.

Well, according to CFA Institute exams must be passed sequentially:

I think that you’ve missed the sarcasm: pokhim’s being an ass.
