Hey AnalystForumites
I have registered for CFA level-1 december 2014 exam.I’m really confused as to with which subject I should start my preparation and If I start should I complete the entire subject in one go? Please guide me with this issue. Please tell me the Best order or flow of subjects which is advisable to study.

I’m following everything as it’s listed in the readings, however i’m leaving Ethics till last. Everything else is the same.

I wouldn’t start studying too soon. You’ll likely burn out. Like lotusunsw, I left ethics til the end as well.

Thats true !!! could somebody contribute something really helpful for this topic ….

I’m also sudying for Dec 2014, I went through in the order of the readings, and about to start book 6 (last book).
I find it’s arranged well. Later readings sometimes refer to earlier readings, but earlier readings rarely refer to later readings.
I find there is so much information that I will have to read the material through once, then go through again to catch everything I missed or forgot… therefore it’s not too bad if (for example) something in Book 1 depends on something from Book 4, I will get it the second time.
If you leave Ethics till last, it wouldn’t be a problem. However, I think it’s quite tough, so maybe do it first, and then again at the end. I had no problems doing it first… and I only knew the basics shares and bonds.
If you want a schedule, maybe leave a week or more at the end for past papers. Then the rest of your time, divide into three. Divide the first 3rd for books 1,2,3 and the second 3rd for books 4,5,6 (starting now, thats over 3 weeks per book), then then third 3rd to go over all the books again.
If you go faster, no problem, more time to revise and set everything in long term memory.

Hiii, I am new to the forum. I hear many people say leave Ethics to last. Im going to start with the sections which I think I am already good at, so I then feel confident and then attempt the harder sections :) Thoughts?
