Suppose you get called into the office for morning of June 1

I never told my employer I was taking the exams. He wasn’t paying for it, so it wasn’t any of his business.
 
Would it be an option to not answer any phone calls the morning of the exam?
 
i would say ‘i’m going into a tunnel…. you’re breaking up’ throw my workphone out the window and pretend that it never happened.
