Suspect CFA Claim on Resume - Result

Agreed. It’s not as though the consequences should have been a surprise to her (especially having passed level 1).

If I waz the OP, I would not have. But das me. In my experience, snitches get stiches. No one likes a tattle tale. But however the OP gets his rocks off is his own business.

The OP helped protect the interests of charter holders and all those who are seeking the charter.

You all have moved down on my list of people who would be fun to party with. I could just see it, “Is that keg allowed per city ordinance 8675.309? Does this abode comply with building code? Finally, you have exceeded the maximum occupancy in this location.” Despite no one is causing a problem or getting hurt, you’ll take it upon yourself to ‘protect’ the interests of people in attendance of my party by tattling.

To be fair he’s protecting his own interests as well. It’s no different from shareholders not wanting their stock be diluted.

You say I’m snitching “despite no one getting hurt”, and that is totally incorrect. Everyone who got passed over for a chance to interview or a chance to get noticed because her resume was a cheat is clearly getting hurt. Heck, is there was a keg larger than allowed, I was probably the one that brought it.
This outcome not only protects those who want a fair fighting chance at a good job, it’s also protecting the CFA charterholders and the reputation of the CFA program. If she landed a job, and it became obvious her finance background was too basic, it would surely reflect badly on all the reputations on all the stakeholders that have an interest in the CFA program.

Not sure I would have done it myself, but I’m completely ok with reporting the violation. It wasn’t a drunk mistake, it was a conscious blatant lie trying to gain an unfair advantage against people that put in the time to earn the designation. Pretty solid basis for judging one’s character.
Also the CFAI may have banned her from taking the exams but they didn’t ban her from finance or badmouth her around the industry. It was probably the last straw that caused her house of cards to cave in, but definitely her choice to leave finance.

I respect what OP did but If I were OP, I probably wouldn’t do that and gave her the warning first.
Last weekend, someone parked his car on my spot (reserved). I didn’t like what he did but still I didn’t want to call the tow company. I wrote a note on his car with a warning and in an hour his car was moved from there.

I support iteracom - lying on your resume stinks and if you want to take the risk of being caught, you have to accept the punishment. And it’s not like she’s going to jail for f**k’s sake.

It’s not like iteracom blackmailed her for sexual favors before reporting… right?

Spray painting “Reserved” on the curb in the middle of the night doesn’t really count. Fight for a spot with the rest of the commoners you self-important pig!
