Hello everyone. I’m currently studying for the level 2 exam in June and I’m coming to the realization that I don’t have enough time to read all the CFAI curriculum, and I’m thinking about switching to either Elan or Schweiser.
My question is, are there any sections that are presented better in the CFAI material, or presented better with Elan/Schweiser? Or are there certain sections that are better explained by Elan/Schweiser video than any book? From what I’ve gathered only a few of the videos are actually worth watching.
Thanks!!

Third-party providers are good, I used them to pass L1, and using them to L2.
CFAI books are great for ppl with lot of time and nice reading capabilities. If you use CFAI books you will learn much more than from providers in a experience and analysis way. What I mean is that CFAI books present real cases and excercises to give you a real enviroment of what you learning and why it is important. About providers books, I see them as a thecnical source of info (you learn only the theory, no cases, no real life excercises).

I used Schweiser for Level I and switched to Elan for Level II. I haven’t gotten very far along in my studies yet, but I’m liking Elan so far. I seem to be understanding the information better than I did with Schweiser but maybe just because Level II builds on Level I. I’d like to watch some of the videos but the problem with having hundreds of hours of videos available is that you have to have hundreds of hours to watch them. LOL. I have a hard time understanding the CFAI books at times and zeroing in on what I’m supposed to be focusing on. I read the CFAI readings related to the material that I might actually use in real life/work.
