First of all, let me stress that at no point I am questioning the fact that the exam is about the knowledge and the level of preparation. However, there is one issue I feel concern about: that is, I am not quite comfortable with the nearest test centre. There are multiple personal reasons contributing to me being low on confidence. Yet, the closer the deadline is approaching, the more I keep questioning the switch. I realise it being just a tiny little factor to the success on the exam, yet the place certainly contributes to my comfort and ease. I would very much appreciate the opinions of other candidates. As long as you are polite, I would be happy to hear any point of view.

I say if ther is another testing center that is close by that makes you feel more comfortable, you might as well go for it. Any little edge that can help with your concentration at exam time cannot be discounted.

Switch. Don't even give it a second thought.

You like the south? Take it in FLA if you want. It's your exam. You take it where ever your heart desires.

Absolutely. You should take every chance to stake the odds in your favour. Silly to make mistakes on exam day just because you (perhaps) feel uncomfortable with the premises.

This may be a rude question? But what are these moral conflicts? I thought that most CFA exams are administered at local public facilities, such as schools. The only way I see someone having a problem is that if the exam is being administered at a catholic school and your protestant or some other religion. Personally I don't see why this should be a problem. If its that high on your radar screen maybe other candidates feel the same way and you should speak with your local society.

Your goal is to pass, period. if this makes you feel comfy so be it.

I am not questioning the exam or system, I trust in CFAI. The issue, as I have already mentioned, is with me and the location... not very nice associations, wanna give them no chance )))

Thanks everyone. I really appreciate your support. I will go for the more comfortable location.
And best of luck with studying!

Switch.

I took level I in Sao Paulo, Brazil (1200 milles from home, at a Convention Center, very comfortable), and Level II in Buenos Aires, Argentina (10 minutes from home, at a horrible place).

It makes difference. I will probably Level III againg in Sao Paulo...
