Taking L3 after 5 plus year absence

I passed L2 years ago. Signed up for L3 twice but due to work and personal committments did not study. Obviously did not pass.
I want to finish something I started so am thinking of taking it next June.
Anyone go through something similar who can offer tips?
I dont really think I need it for my empoyment outlook but I dont want that to be a factor. More into finishing something I started as a challenge to myself.
 
I took Level 2 10 yrs after I did L1.
Just go for it and finish it!
 
I did my Level 2 in 2010 and, as for you, job changes and other excuses kept me subsidizing CFAI with enrollment fees without opening the books. Went for it this year. Level III is so different from Level II that I did not find the 5 year break to be an issue. A bit slow in the start, but in the end, I think Level III is a bastard no matter what. If I fail, it was not due to the five year break or to my mastering of the material, but not truly (I mean 100%) listening to all the AM-session advice; “Bullets, short answers, on to the next one”. And I have been kicking myself for it for about 6 weeks now….
Just put down the hours, listen to (but truly listen and trust in) the AM-session advice…

I think I’m gonna go for it. Your relentlessness is very encouraging.
 
I took level 3 this year 4 years after passing my level 2. I feel that since CFA level 3 really doesn’t need stuff from CFA level 2 which was focussed on accounting, it should be OK to give level 3 after a break of even a decade. However, lets wait for the results to see if I made it or not.
