Congrats everyone who passed and solace to those who didn't - December isn't far away. Anyway, everyone who wants to know how to pass the exam, this is it - just particpate in all the AF discussions. Almost all the regular posters here pass and we haven't heard from a few (c'mon plyon, jbisback - you passed so share your scores and celebrate a little).

Good job folks!

I am with LICandidate. JoeyDVivre is practically the unofficial "keeper" of the forum --through his extensive posts, solutions to complex problems, constant accessibility, humorous gestures and, every now and then, a little bit of caustic sarcasm :) !

Viva La Vivre !!

so did JB- plyon over 70% on all, JB was pretty darn close to that. the more you post, the more you engage, the more you know. the magic of AF. and it's free! best deal ever.

which is why I don't understand the study groups. AF is on your own time, your convenience, etc. It's a great, free tool that requires zero logistical planning. People here are more than willing to help. Where else can you go (for free) and get help from a former college professor and several Charterholders?

By the way, thanks for the quant advice JoeyDVivre. Some of your postings helped quite a lot.

"Team AF?", huh? Nice ring to it!

Pretty subdued "celebration" for me... Couple of beers at lunch and left early (4:30) to play on the beach with my son. Slightly embarrassed that my boss sent a congrats email around to a few people (I really don't think that's appropriate until I pass level III).

Was very nice to nail all the sections, which was my goal. But frankly, I'm already worried about L II. I think my most elated moment was the week before June 2 when I realized I was a "lock"!

AF has been an indispensable resource. I definitely would have felt a bit adrift without everyone else to lean on and learn from.

Totally, thinking back of the names that popped up in nearly all discussions... I can't think of a single one who didn't pass. It just keeps you going and that's what really counts when you're writing the exam: you must have put in the time. That's just it, no shortcuts.

very helpful - without AF I would drift away for sure. you can know all the materials and still fail just by not knowing how the cfa exam is gonna come to you....this is where AF helps!

totally agree. its that last 10% of studying you do that counts for 90% of your score.... if u know what i mean

I also concurr .... got together w/ young_prof last night for a few well deserved celebratory beers ... and now off to thinking about strategizing for L2....

Joey,
I'm going to need to review your book on derivatives once it is ready. I bobbled that topic.
