I took a temp job for two months while i was waiting to take my current job, should i note that in the position on the resume and if so how? i was thinking of just puttin "temporary position" after the dates.. anyone know what protocol on this is? thanks

if it's no relation to future jobs you are looking for, just leave it off...

if prospective employers ask what you were up to, say you did some temp work while waiting to take your job.

that actually sounds like a better idea... i had it on my resume and didnt want to convey job hopping

If you think it's unwise to leave it off entirely, then "contract position" is one euphemism that seems generally accepted.

I'd use "contract position" or "consulting basis" to cut off any questions about the short tenure.

I was doing temp work for about 8 months following college. It is assurdely NOT on my resume.
