Test Center and 2005's Study Guides

Can anyone give me any idea about the two quesiton?

1. I am not quite sure in which city I will work next year. They are not in the same country. Should I choose whatever one of them and register now? Is it easy to change test center? Any charge for the change?

2. Since I did not register, I am not sure if I should buy used 2004 Schweser Notes for preparation before Dec/Jan. Is there much different between 2004's and 2005's Study Guides in terms of LOS? (I'll take 2005 June test) Can anyone forward an e-copy of his/her CFAI's 2005 L1 Study Guides?

Q1:
Yes, you can choose any place to register now. You only need to fill in the Test Center Change Request Form to change the test center, but you have to do it before the deadline - 4 April 2005 for June 2005 exam. The form can be downloaded from

There is no charge for the change as explained in the form.

Q2:
There must be some difference between 2004 and 2005 LOS's but should not be much. Therefore, if you use 2004 notes to prepare for 2005 exam and you get yourself very familiar with all the materials, the difference between the two years' LOS's may not fail you.
