We all need a way to boost our confidence to get through the next 7 weeks. If you have anything to post about reasons why we should feel good, go ahead.

Here's mine:

At lunch I was talking to this girl about the questions, and I asked about one question on the derivatives section, and her response was, "I'm not sure--I didn't get up to that point in the reading."

lol

The guy next to me during the exam told me he didn't do more than 2 mock exams. I must have done over 5000 questions (mocks included)

haha i know this prob isnt an appropriate thread to post this in, but all told, i prob did between 4000 and 5000 questions, with about 3500 of them from Q bank. just thinking of this makes me nausoues to my stomach if i fail.

when I saw all the babies taking this test, my confidence skyrocketed. I just thought to myself, 35% of this crowd will pass this test, there's no way I shouldn't be part of that.

I would guess most people on this board passed, especially if you took all the Mocks available to you. That's the secret sauce to passing IMO.

I think your post will boost confidence for that "babies" :)
Because I think that this is a memorization test for recent grads or students

don't feel bad because CFA Level 2 and Level 3 are much harder, lol

dont feel bad because if you are like the average person on this forum, you were rpobably significantly overprepared for this exam.

Also, the afternoon paper was not just tough to you, it was tough to everyone.

The afternoon session was terrible (compared to the morning session).

But my words of encouragement come from my professor: "After the exam, everyone thinks that they've failed. The ones who think that they definitely passed are wrong. Statistically, the ones who think they failed are probably right, but at least they aren't arrogant."

Heh.. I wish derivatives were a bigger part of the exam. I spent about 5 minutes on the reading for that, and I know I'm 12 for 12 on the derivatives section on the exam.

FSA was the best part of the exam, followed by CF, Quant and Ethics. I wish CFAI would computerize this exam. My hands were sweating and feeling arthritic due to the small bubbles on the answer sheet. I just don't like any-type of bubble-sheet formats, plus it takes time to fill in those bubbles.

I wish I saw 90 questions just on FSA because those questions were so easy

Dont feel bad.

I overheard some guy say all he needed to do was read volume on financial statement analysis to pass.

And even better... I sat next to a very confident cocky candidate in june only two see him again two rows behind me on saturday.

I was surprised by how many seniors in college were taking the test. Anyone have any stats on this?

I'm not gonna lie, I felt pretty damn good after the exam. I stuck to my plan and didn't rush at the end like I saw many others do.

Hi, I posted a question ealier in the forum but thought I'd ask another test taker, maybe you can help: did your test center use a "satellite" or atomic clock to time both exams? Or was it just an ordinary clock on the wall that was used? Thanks.

I overheard more than 1 person say they hadn't had time to do any mock exams, so weren't really sure what to expect.

This made me feel better. Also seeing three people come in the wrong calculator made me feel better, as they were definately helping to bring the MPS down!
Perhaps not very friendly of me, but I don't care, I wanna pass this beast!

true that. i was zoned out. thankfully i didnt have any time issues. not sure if that's a bad thing or not, but im positive overall, and i think everyone that's been logged into this forum for the past few months collaborating on all questions, shouldn't have anything to worry about either, chances are you nailed it, chances are the pass rate will be more than 40% this time and chances are you'll be sitting for level 2 come june and not level 1 again. stay positive and let it go, there's nothing that can be done, you cannot go back in time and change ur answers (although that would be sweet) so there really isnt any use crying over spilt milk. i for one am glad i can have a social life again. and more than 3 hours of sleep a day.

btw i took the exam in SF and:
1) the weather was cold as F*ck
2) the water provided by them was even colder
3) the room we took the exam in was sub-zero (although the second exam made me sweat balls)

good experience.

You should feel good because you are WAY more prepared compared to me

i spent all together about a week to study, and did altogether 250 questions

but heck yeah i'll be getting serious and beating this beast in June(or Dec)!! I only have myself to blame this time...

I wouldn't worry about the people who were not prepared..I worried about what the top 1% did counting the rest of the international pool of candidates.
