Good point, I hadn’t even thought about asking. But still it would be nice to know if it’s possible to just leave the payment til the results date.
 
Do we get a charter straightaway if we make membership payment on the day of level 3 results? (assuming we pass and work experience is pre-approved)

I don’t know how long you have the option to submit a payment once they approve your application. Work experience being approved is only half the battle, the other half is them approving your application. Only then, are you allowed to “join” and then pay.

Well you really have to know, not everyone who studies for CFA lives in the same part of the world and salary discrepancy among different countries, no matter whether you are in finance and are a CFA candidate, can be quite a lot. You are probably from US/UK, between 25-30 (or less judging by how you talk to people on this forum), have no family to support to, you are definitely in finance (approved work experience), have no mortgage to pay (or it is very small relative to pay). Some people here, including myself, prefer to spend money more efficiently. Now imagine living in Europe (not UK, Switzerland, Germany and France) and you would be surprised how many people here would not want to throw it away just like that.
No need to act like a d*** just because you earn more. And remember, the amount of money you earn does not make you any better money manager than your counterparts in different parts of the world.

I don’t really see the benefit of paying it before getting the results. Yeah, you’ll have the letters a little earlier but I don’t think that is worth the 350. I know a lot more fun stuff to do with an extra 350 than being a member of a cfa society as a LIII candidate.

Yeah but I’m on track to make like 260k by next year. I’ve already started looking at different colored teslas.
 
So you are making a below average salary in finance in most areas in the US but you are “on track to make like 260k by next year”. You might wanna double check with the person who made you such a promise (if there is one at all).
