please consider this option. you have another chance at the L3 exam, but you don’t have another chance to be with your father in his dying days.igor555 wrote:
very sorry to hear that. prayers are with your dad.
my suggestion is forget the exam this year and spend the next 90 or so days with your pops. you can retake the exam next year or in 2 years but i guarantee you the next 90 days that you spend with your father will be the best memories for you. my grandmother passed away during my L2 studies and i wished i was able to spend more time with her.

Spend every waking moment you have with your father. Watch each of your favorite movies together. Ask him to tell you what his hopes and dreams are (and what they were when he was growing up) then tell him yours. Talk about what you think life is about. Get into stupid debates like Chunky vs Smooth Peanut Butter or Boxers vs Briefs, just to see where it goes. Ask him what about his father inspired him and tell him what about him inspires you. Hug Him. Let him know you’re the man (or woman, screen name is ambiguous) you are because of him. And above all else, tell that man to fight the good fight, because F**K CANCER. I’ve lost too many people to this bulls**t.
If you want, study when he’s sleeping.
If you go all-in and choose to study for the test, and god-forbid fail, you will NEVER forgive yourself.
I pray in five years you can share a beer with your dad, and look back laughing on the time he made you almost fail the CFA exam.
