..seeing all these posts about ‘tricks…’trap doors’ is making me very nervous that i fell for every single one…time to stay off AF and regain some sanity until August when hopefully, god willing, L3 beckons!

I have read through some of the comments regarding tricks, questions and score estimations.
And I totally agree - it doesn’t help me, it only makes me more nervous (especially because I think the exam wasn’t too difficult, but I surely made quite a lot of stupid mistakes and had to guess a few questions). Unfortunately you can’t change what you wrote/ticked and since that is the case I now prefer to enjoy live and wait to get my results in 1 1/2 months. There is nothing more I can do…

Level II lulls you into a false confidence with its trickery. You can easily be tricked a number of times and have no idea.

Yeah I gotta say I felt pretty good leaving the exam. Felt great after the AM, felt so-so after the PM (Ethics not included… because who the eff knows). Was hoping that would combine into a pass and was just so happy to be done and knew I had given it my absolute all.
Then AF opens up Sunday night and I’ve been doubting myself ever since reading people’s posts and I can’t believe how upset I am with myself for letting others shake me like this. And it’s not even like anyone is doing anything maliciously, they’re just sharing their exam experiences as well. Wtf is wrong with me? Yeesh.

I don’t understand why people are saying there were tricks all over! I also don’t understand why you’re saying the PM session was more difficult than the AM. Screw it all, I’m going to enjoy my life while I can!

My goal is to be this from now until the end of July:

Being “tricked” simply means that you could have calculated an answer that was incorrect. It’s not like you haven’t done that 100 times before on EOC, BB, practice assessments, mocks. Whatever.

For a 120 question test, many people would make one or more careless or silly mistake like mistaking some value or misreading some nuances in the rush. I don’t know others but when I was doing practice or mock, I had this problem. I was very careful during real test and just hope I did not make such mistake. Who knows.

That is exactly how I feel ^ hoping after a weekend free from study I can start to put last Saturday behind Me! For a few months anway..!

The exam is a giant mind fuck, if you come to the “right” answer you never know if you’re being fooled or if you’ve actually figured it out. I’ve gotten to the point that I would also try and calculate how they got to the other answers available to make sure I actually had the right one.

I cant recall many traps or tricks even though I was looking out for them especially in FRA. What I did notice is, sometimes there’s a wrong answer choice that you will end up with of you dont take square root, at some other place it had an answer choice that you would wrongly select if you havent completed the calculation process. There was an answer choice that checked whether you multiplied a no. with an average OR current figure. When I saw these I smiled, but thats only what I could see as traps/tricks these people are talking about, apart from that, I cant recall anything like a trap or trick within questions. Thats my opinion.

Trick or not trick, easier or more difficult, they are all relative perceptions depending on how well you have grasped the concept, the theory and knowing how to do the calculation and if you read the question carefully or skipped some keywords or a couple of lines or correctly used given inputs. At this point there is no need to get panicked. Let it go. Like the little girls sing.
