If you pass and I fail, will you buy my LII Schweser at a discount? I feel like I should take the plunge now, buy Schweser and begin studying, hoping that I pass.
 
Will you be allowed to order for Level II even without the results from Level I?

I would just be buying Schweser material and not registering with CFAI. Can't do the latter until passing LI.
 
I bet you would easily find someone on here to buy it from you -- might have to be at a slight discount, though.
 
BSS, I bought the Schweser material on Sunday. I bought the Essential Solution. My friend is buying the most expensive package through work so I'll have a look and see if the extra stuff is worth it when he receives his package.
 
I am excited to start this up. I am crossing my fingers that I passed level 1. Level 2 material looks much more interesting to me
 
I started earlier this week - pretty light so far, but need to crank it up soon.

I bought the CFAI L2 2009 books on ebay for $30 bucks (checked ebay for a month around October) and have the Stalla stuff coming in the mail soon.

PS btw - I called CFAI and you can order 2009 L2 materials before passing L1. They strongly advise against this though.

Yes you can do that but then when you register for L2 you will get another set of books which you will have to pay for.
 
I think this is rather frustrating with the volume of reading we have to do in order to pass L2 in June. I think it is imperative we push CFAI to be more concerned with Dec Level 1 test takers and release the results in one month, thus giving us more time to make a decision to repeat or move forward....surely it is just scantron..it is doable. We should petition this to CFAI as a group asap.

Take a break for a month. You'll burn out otherwise.

If you sign up once results are out there is enough time for June 09 LII exam.

+1. The break is overdue. I'll be recharged and rockin' to crush Level II on the 29th of January.
 
I'm not taking L2 next year but I wouldnt even look at any L2 material until after I confirmed i had passed L1. If you must, use old 2008 material, you're not likely to get thru more than 1-2 study sessions anyway in a month(assuming you're really putting in the work) and the material hasnt changed that much.

I love the 'simplicity' of this scenario. L1 results out 1/28 (wednesday). Presuming a pass (a very big presumption), order L2 books that day for delivery 2/2 which coincidentally is the day after super bowl sunday. 2/2 begin studying for/crushing L2.
 
will probly start in mid jan for lvl 2 - need a break. ill get a pdf copy of the schweser notes from somewhere but not investing in the lvl 2 notes until im sure.
