Dear All
Based on the nature of jobs we want in the future I believe apart from the knowledge in the world of finace other skills/traits will help us succeed.I have created a list of the boks/films/tv series I found very educational for those wanting to enhace their character to meet the demanding jobs in the world of finance.I Have read them and will explain why each one is necessary.
  1. A whole new mind:Learn why it will important to develop your soft skills regardless of the nature of your jobs and how it will help you stand out in the new age.No its not about hugging teddy bears at night or becoming a wimp or some inner child you must get in touch with.
  2. 48 Laws of power:Understand what Is power,against what most people think on how to aqquire power this book has a philosophical approach to the issue of power,it takes time to implement the rules but it will definately change your perspective forever.
  3. The Art of seduction:By the same author ,it has a more cunning and dark approach to the world of power.
  4. Brain Rules:12 rules for …….:According to most men their brain is their 2nd favourite organ ,learn how to keep it in shape and improve its performance.
  5. To sell is human:A faboulous book on human interactions,learn the RIGHT way to sell your Ideas.
  6. The End of Faith:Regardless of your belief on religion and god the book is a purely analytical argument that will surely help the way you thnk and argue.
This is what I have read from 2014,hope it helps
 
No offense, but I think you need to pick up a book on grammar and the English language, in general.

Just sayin’. Kinda strange because he’s based in the UK as well. Are you finding that UK youth are getting more illiterate?
 
^It happens in the good old USA too. And in the Falkland Islands.
Haven’t really noticed it much in Dagobah, though. We’ve managed to hold onto our punctuation and grammar skills.
 
I’ll never get the time back I wasted reading & commenting on this post…

Not true. Just the other day I was walking down the street and this woman with an amazing rack was walking toward me. When she got close I stopped her and said: “No offense, but you have an amazing rack.” I hardly call that an insult, although she did take offense and slapped me. Bitch.

I’m not the kindest guy out there, but even I found the material in that book too much.
 
Non-finance books I’d recommend to become a more sharp and well-rounded person.

  • Thinking, Fast and Slow
  • How Not to Be Wrong: The power of mathematical thinking
  • Freakonomics
And these if you’re interested in behavioural and evolutionary psychology.
