To those who are using ELAN

I think Elan has done a good job in making study notes …they indeed cover all the minute details of the curricullum…..
Having so much less time ,i am really confused as to whether to skip BB becoz i think Elan covers the important questions in the study notes…
What is ur opinion ?
 
I am doing all the EOC questions from CFAI.
Then whatever concepts I dont know, I am using Elan and their videos. At this point, practice as many questions and hammer home as many concepts as possible.
Is anyone just hammering out questions?

Hi Michael,
I am using the same strategy as yours….Drilling Elan PQ and CFAI EOC only….I am not doing BB…Are you going to skip BB…Are BB really important…i am really confused on this…
 
Why are Elan not publishing questions for the new chapters introduced yet ? Just 2 months left and I still dont see them.
 
I think if you need to dig deeper into a concept def. use the BB. I think the BB has a lot of value because it has questions from the perspective of the CFAI.
But, I am only going to use BB if there were concepts I didnt FULLY understand. By the time the exam rolls, I around, I should be able to look at any BB question or question for that matter and come up with the answer.
 
Questions only for the last 2 months for me.
I’m re-doing all Elan’s questions this wk to help me drill on concepts, then I’m scheduled to take 1 full mock every Saturday and do CFAI EOC and BB questions in between mocks.
If you must skip BBs due to lack of time, I would strongly recommend you to AT LEAST do Equity and FSA as they account for 40~50% of the exam.

Hasn’t Elan included all the important BB in the Study notes as Solved examples ??

No Idea…As havent finished all yet….
 
Thanks PSR - I have just started on the Quant ones.
What are you scoring generally on the Elan Ques.
Also what’s the pecking order with respect to the ques at this stage?
