Just thought I would mention that the Starmine rankings are out in a special section of the Post today. There is also an excerpt from the Insider's Guide to the Best Jobs on Bay Street about how to get a job as a research associate, and a little about the job itself. I know people are always coming on here asking those kinds of questions, so for you guys - go get the National Post. If you aren't in Canada you can still probably buy an electronic copy online. I don't know if all of the info will be relevant everywhere though.
 
read it this morning...nothing much to it apart from the rankings...talks about how some brokerages hire non-MBA folks...CFA really important...same old same old stuff.

Aquarius is right that there is nothing earth shattering, but there are so many people who come here to ask about the educational requirements, entry level jobs that lead to ER, salary, etc., I figured there would be at least some people that find it interesting.
 
I know how everyone can win here. Buy the book "Insiders Guide to the Best Jobs on Bay Street". It is a good read and not expensive.

Also, Wetfeet Career guides are a must in my humble opinion.
