I recall from L1 and L2 that you wouldn’t often walk out of an exam thinking “They didn’t even touch subject X or Y!” I’m wondering what topics that might be for L3. I know, for example, that ethics, and both individual and institutional IPS will be tested extensively, but as I go through Risk Management and Derivaties I have to wonder how much of this they’re really going to hit - and in what depth. I’d be shocked if some of these forex formulas were tested, for example. Any one else have thoughts here? I haven’t spent much time with the previous exams or the recently released test exam (I save all that for the last month) so perhaps those offer further insight. Thanks.

I am more than aware that anything is “fair game”, but I also must allocate my scare resrouce (study time) to areas which will clearly have the greatest benefit. They may ask a question about “rights versus justice theories”, but I doubt it, and even if they do I’ll give my best effort and move along, knowing I may have left some points on the board. It’s all about probability - it’s certainly possible that I’m eaten by an alligator on my way to lunch today, but up here north of the Mason-Dixon line I’m not going to spend much time worrying about it.
