Uppermark Qbank

When studying for CFA L1, people mentioned that Schweser Qbank was too calculation heavy and didn’t accurately reflect the types of questions given on exam day. How did CAIA L1 takers find the Uppermark Qbank? Was it representative of questions on exam day? Were the style of questions similar?

I found Uppermark and the exam quite similar for L1 when I took it in the fall of 2009.

Schweser is the best educational provider for CAIA. If the L.O. does not specifically say ‘calculate’, don’t worry about the memorizing the calculation. It is simply shown to make you understand the subject matter better. I’ve taken both Schweser and Uppermark in the past, Schweser wins by a wide margin with a tiny fraction of the errors found in Uppermark books, much better online technology, and much higher quality service.

Either one will do, just make sure you use the test bank. Aim for 80-85% on full mocks w/out aids.
