Use 2015 Schweser materials or order 2016??

Thoughts on reusing 2015 Schweser material (books, exams, mind maps) or ordering 2016 which includes video instruction and Q-bank.

Re-use 2015, Q Bank is not helpful for L3. Spend the money on 3 day review with Q&A book.
 
I didn’t touch Q bank for Level 3. As for the Schweser materials, you should be OK with the 2015 books. You need to focus heavily on the CFAI text anyway, Schweser is just a supplement.
 
2016. Always use most current materials. Don’t be penny wise, pound foolish my friend.
 
Use CFAI 2016 books and, especially, EOCs as well as past online exams.

i used 2014 book for this year exam .. as i bought 2014 books and could not take the exam. Didn’t want to spend another $500 or so again .. but changes were minimal.
I’m not sure video is that helpful in Level 3 - as subject materails are fairly easy to understand (just difficult to remember all at once). I would go with 2014 books to save money - and for Qbank, you can use FinQuiz - they’re cheap and often have 40% discount. That’s what i did anyhow.
 
BTW i passed using mostly Sch notes, some EOC questions from CFAI, and actual & mock exams from CFAI.
You should use QBank to help understnad the materail better … and actual/mock exams to test out your knowledge.
 
I am a L3 retaker too. I’m using Schweser Notes 2015 for saving $300 or more. As I’ve checked 2016 curriculum, not many changes have been made, so reusing old materials could be fine.
