Hi guys,
I have a problem deciding what course material to use in preparation for my Level 1 exam in June 2016.
I was able to get my hands on the 2015 Schweser notes from a friend, and was planning to use this along with purchasing the Schweser Qbank for $300. The $650+international shipping+ tax with the new material just seems ridiculous; I’ve already researched the differences between the 2015-2016 curriculum and theres just one additional reading with a few changes in the LOSs. Should I purchase the new material based on the LOS changes alone? For those readings/changes, I plan to refer to the official curriculum ebook provided when registering for the exam. Is this feasible?
I’ve been doing some extensive research and I see mixed feedbacks with some saying it’s always better to purchase new materials so that I wouldn’t have to worry about missing out on the curriculum changes, while others say using dated materials is totally doable. If I am purchasing the qbank though, and studying the curriculum changes from the official book, shouldn’t this work?
FYI, here’s a link for the 2015-2016 curriculum changes: http://www.finquiz.com/blog/2015/08/19/cfa-level-1-changes-2016-cfa-curriculum-updates/
Thanks in advance!
