I am about half way through reading the CFA Material with a plan to finish it by the end of March (I started in the middle of January, so I am pretty much on track). However, I am starting to appreciate that I am going to have to eventually prioritize my time and resources to particular topics.
First, can you help me understand which topics are the most important to focus on with the idea (i) I don’t want to waste time on easy subjects that are going to be a breeze anyway; or (ii) go down rabbit holes by becoming an expert on difficult topics for which there is little marginal return. In other words, where can I get the most bang for the buck for the hours I am about to invest?
Secondly, given that I am reading and outlining the official material, are there certain products that are the best value dollar for dollar? I am not looking to buy a course of study, but would be willing to throw down a couple hundred dollars if it were worth it.
Last question, what is the best source for practice tests? I am definitely goign to shell out for those (looking for about eight tests or one a week betwen April and May). Not interested in a simulated test environment, just the test material and answers with explanation.
Thanks.
