This question often shows up on the S&P careers site:

"Please describe your level of proficiency in Web Based Research."

What type of information is being sought? If I'm pretty good at searching for whatever it is that I'm looking for at the moment, then out of the following options

None

Novice

Intermediate

Proficient

Expert

Guru

can I claim to be an Intermediate? What makes someone a Guru? The ability to read the Hindi version of Google?

man, you will not send a resume saying you are only intermediate!!!!

If that's something they are looking for, then it must be proficient and above.
I won't use guru though, too informal.

Yeah, not really a difficult one is it!

Use it as a chance to big yourself up - its not as if they can catch you out on this one.

Stick down highly proficient.

Well, let's look at it this way: I found an answer on the Web to this one!

If you were really savvy with web-based research, you'd know that your official title would be "supa-genius!!!"
