Were your exam tickets collected during the exam?

Exam tickets were collected both this year and last year, but never before, is that correct? any Level III candidates or charterholders remember?

Dont write anything over it during the exam...i got a letter telling me that i violated the CFA institute code however that time i was not going to get any penalty.

indeed, they don't know whether you wrote on it ahead of time and used it as a cheat sheat or wrote on it during the exam

You need to show the tickets to get into the exam room and to get your seat. During the exam, the ticket is face up on the table, so that proctors know who you are (I assume). At the end of the exam, tickets were collected. And yeah, I heard the story about someone getting a letter about having something written on the ticket. I guess someone once used the back of the ticket as a cheat sheet, so now everyone is given the evil eye.
