Hi all,
I will be registering for June 2016 Level 1. Will begin to study in September (starting with quants). I am currently working as an accouting assistant (OJT). I am in need of meaningful employment.
When do you think is a good time to start applying for jobs?
Thank you

if u think cfa level 1 candidacy can make u find a better job, u’re going to have a bad time

Have you thought about getting a professional accounting designation then jumping to IB? Could help you stand out before you tackle the CFA.

No I have not, I have no interest in acccounting so I will not invest my time in studying it.

Can’t hurt to start looking for a new job, right now. But in terms of a “good time” to apply for new jobs, that would be at the beginning of a New Year – when companies have their new fiscal year budgets spelled out. And the worst time is in November/December (just *before* they have their fiscal year budgets spelled out).
