Agree with what was stated above. All of the material is fair game.
As you go through the EOC questions of the 3rd party study guides and the CFAI books, 3rd party mock exams and CFA mock exams, you’ll start figuring out indirectly which sections have a greater chance of being on the exam.
Doesn’t mean that the other stuff won’t be on there though!
Some topics are more efficient reads for Level 1. Ethics for example was 15% of the exam, but the reading in the Schweser was about 90 pages, while Econ was 10% of the exam but was closer to a 300 page read.
I felt like Econ was the subject where a good portion of what you read/ cover may not even be on there, just based on the number of questions allocated to Econ on the exam and the amount of pages you have to read.
You never know for sure what is going to be on the exam, so you have know as much as you can.
