dear friends , i am starting today with ethics. i am following CFAI book ..so whats up with u guys..?
 
Finishes Sessions #1 and #2 of Ethics last week.
Starting Quant Methods this weekend.
 
just got my books now.. will start today ..all the best guys..
 
Wow. I haven’t ordered the books yet. I’ll probably wait another month or two. If I study from now till June I’ll go insane.

order before 9/21 if you are going to take June 2012, otherwise you’ll just pay extra afterwards.
 
registered for the exam almost as soon as registration opened. Thought of starting early by reading CFA text before schweser notes are availabe. But just found it difficult to concentrate. Have not picked up the books again for sometime now. Waiting for schweser notes.
 
I’m doing a thesis and plan to finish up in the next few months so I haven’t even registered for L2 yet. I plan on finishing the thesis around late December/early January and then I want to register for L2. The reason I haven’t registered yet is the off-chance that I don’t finish my thesis by the time I expect. If this happens, I’ll just skip L2 this year because the thesis is more important.
 
I registered asap after the test results came out in July. Then my dad died and I have been pretty uninspired since then, what with the trauma of his sudden passing and suddenly having to fly halfway around the world at the drop of a hat. I finished reading through ethics but haven’t done many of the EOC questions. I am counting on Schweser materials to get my juices flowing again when they arrive sometime in October. Until then I am easily tempted by video games - curse you, Starcraft 2!

ALANFUNG I am officially registered. I was going to sign up before the first deadline been delaying it but needed to happen.
Still don’t plan to start studying for another month or so. I might read the ethics because you can’t ever read that enough, but I won’t do any problems I think.
 
Still chugging along finished with first run through Quant, PM, Derivs, and FI, now taking my sweet time through FRA. Gotta disect every inch of this before John Harris, 70< or bust
 
Finished reading and writing notes, doing past exam questions and schweser/cfai eocs for ethics and up to reading 13 in quant. want to start ecos in about a week or so.
 
It’s too early for me to start…I’ll go crazy if I start now and go on till June. I’ll probably be starting in Dec. That should give me a solid 6 months. I think that should be enough.
 
^^ Gross. Screw quant. I’m waiting until the last possible moment to do that section.
As to my progress, I’m going slow and kinda steady. I finished econ and am almost done with FRA. Not doing any problems though, just taking notes and making flashcards.
My only reason for starting now is I plan on starting a job in January which will probably keep me very busy through end of March and I won’t be able to do very much of the actual first go through reading then, so I want to have notes to be able to study.
