What's your confidence level for the exam?

2 weeks left I have done 4 mocks and progressed really nicely improving my scores still have 3 more mocks. My confidence level with 2 weeks left to the exam is about 70%. How about your confidence now?
 
My scores have been 69.2%, 70.8%, 75.8%. With 2 weeks still left to cram I’m feeling kinda confident. Still got a load of practice exams to do so am hoping to be hitting high 70s by June.
The subjects I’m struggling with are the following:
Econ - scores are all over the place. This section is a beast relative to what it’s worth. I studied only once on my first schweser run and never bothered to review it because I thought I had it in the bag. Am regretting this now.
Equities - getting hit consistently on this section with pesky questions. Am consistently scoring in the 50%s here.
FRA - not confident here, my score range is usually 50 - 75%. It’s the randomness of my scores that scares me here. Just don’t know where it’s going to go. I seem to have been lucky and done really well in other section when I’ve done bad on FRA, so it’s balanced my scores, but I’m worried about doing bad in this section AND doing bad in other areas, then it’s game over for me.
 
FnR and Econ is what im trying to improve in the last 2 weeks, equities ive been doing good and QM. Ethics i have to improve my interpretation of the questions, im getting around 70 but i feel like i can do so much better…My goal is to get really good at econ and maybe improve what i can from FnR, i think i could pass if i get around 50-70% on FnR and hit all the others really strong
 
cleverCFA I’m right there with you. Literally almost exactly the same scores and sections are bothering me. My last 3 exams were 72 72 and 74.5% and my problem areas are the same as you. I’ve scored anywhere from 54% to 71% on econ (71 in my first exam and never above 67 since then), 54% to 79% in FRA and anywhere from 45%(!!!) to 79% in equities.
I don’t get it. I feel like econ and equities should be my stronger topics and then I get destroyed sometimes.
Also, at this point I’ve gotten really lazy with studying since I’ve been passing. What a terrible mindset. I need to turn things around and start focusing. MUST PASS.
 
Couldn’t be more confident. My lady friend is putting me on a fixed diet of red meat and whiskey for the next two weeks to maintain the confidence level.
Also, I am taking the advice of my HS football coach and abstaining from sex to build up testosteron for the exam. I’ll let you know how it goes.
 
Abstain from sex??? I am planning on getting some the early the night before so i can sleep trough the nerves the night before.
 
How does red meat and whiskey maintain confidence level? I’m curious.
If having sex makes you less confident then you aint doing it right.
 
I got 70% exactly on the Boston Moch exam. Strong in ethics. I gather that if I scored the same on the actual exam it would be a pass. That was last week. I take the CFA moch tomorrow. I’ve spent 15 hours or so this week hitting some weak areas and feel like I’ll do much better on this mock (able to grasp a few concepts that cost me 10 or so questions on the Boston mock). Still two weeks left, that’s a lot of study time. I’m planning on spending a lot of time on Ethics the last week to try and nail that subject. Best of luck to everyone.
 
NO! Don’t do it! No red meat. That will NOT help you. If anything it will wreck you. Red meat ups your aggression. Eating red meat for every meal for a whole week will make you show signs of psychosis. Also, I doubt drinking will help you much…
Abstaining from sex however is a good idea. Boxers do it to help maintain their energy and focus. Sex releases feel good hormones that make your shit weak and relaxed. I had morning sex before doing the triathlon in highschool. Fuck, I swear, I’m pretty fit but I think I finished in bottom 5 in each event - I was like “fuck that shit, I’m relaxed”.
 
When you say “sex” do you mean with someone… or are you abusing yourself??? A bunch of CFA candidates don’t remind me of a bunch of chick magnets…
 
What are you saying man, just walk up to a chick and say your a CFA candidate, let destiny do the rest.

Lol, dude, alot of the CFA candidates are already married with kids. And not everybody is a big nerd.

Guys,
Confidence is key to nailing the exam. If you put in the necessary time, you studied the material, you are a regular visitor to AF, etc. etc., the chances are you really care about passing this exam. Your performance will reflect this. Despite what your mock scores might be, you are in a great position to pass this test. The real exam is several degrees easier and more straightforward than the CFAI and Schweser mocks (strictly my own judgment call). Last year I was really worried about passing and I smoked it, scored > 70% in all sections except Econ.
You know a lot more than you think you do - don’t lose the faith now. Show up on test day, don’t freak out under the stress, and nail it. Remain confident and tough, be sure of yourselves, and you should have a successful experience.
