When Can We Discuss AM specifics?

The scoring on AM is so unpredictable, it honestly can make you wonder if they actually graded your exam. There were certain AM questions where I thought I was completely correct on…I know I was at least on the right track…and still have <50%.
Of course, we all know they are looking for very specific answers, not an understanding of the topic. Very frustrating to have mastery of a particular subject matter….and still receive lower than 50% (perhaps 0% who knows?) on your answers. Oh well.
Dear Diary,

Yes, they used to make the AM portion of the exam available to everyone. They have recently started restricting the AM portion of the exams to candidates only. So the test bank that they have available will be more difficult to get in the future. You can find old exam questions actually going back to 2000 if you try hard enough, or if you sign up for Levelup Bootcamp.
Be honest, you work for Marc dont you? This is the 4th comment you have left about the Levelup Bootcamp
No, I had never heard of the guy before reading about his course last year on this site. The materials I mentioned helped me immensely, just like John Harris’ materials helped me immensely at L2. Of course I’m going to mention it any time it makes sense which it did in that case pertaining to old exam questions. It’s certainly more helpful to the avg candidate than saying you can get by with only Schweser or CFA curriculum material.

This is exactly me, and I majored in Econ.
same here also, majored in Econs and scored <50 in previous exams. i hope i nail it in level 3

I don’t remember the exam at all though.
I got >70% on AM Econ too…also don’t remember what the actual questions where ;)

Who gives a damn about econ! :) That’s just a sign of a sick mind if you did! tah.
I nailed the first question though! I thought I had fugged it up and my head was red as a tomato, finishing it. Will never forget that feeling of panic, having spend too much time on it and without a clue whether I was in the ballpark. And then thinking damn it, this was just round 1 of 10. This will be ugly. And it was!

Seriously. When I got >70 in Econ in Level 2 I was sure they made a mistake. I hated those readings at every level with a fiery passion. Good riddance!!

Yeah pretty much. 5% of candidates reported having a >70% for that section, the widest skew in the whole exam.

Yah, I got >50% and it was one of my best subjects in the mocks. Same with equity investments (I’m in equity research) and portfolio management. Everything I did really well in during mocks I underperformed at on the test.
My thought is I got overconfident and did not fully form my answers. Things like giving “Older age” for lower risk tolerance instead of “Couple is older, so they need funds sooner. Therefore the portfolio has less time to recover from capital market losses.” Seems like assuming the grader will give you the benefit of the doubt is wrong.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I got below 50% on the first 3 questions and i thought i aced them, hehe.. later on was struggling and in quite a few of those i scored above 50%… but dont remember the questions in detail rather just the sentiment i had post the question.
