If you feel u are through level 1, are you going to wait till the results are out to start studying for level2? I feel 4 months will not be enough for level2.
Any idea how i can get a hand on the CFAI material for level2 without registeration as i plan to start studying by 1st week of Jan.

I am targeting for second week of Jan.. that way won't waste too much time either side..

If i pass Level 1.. then i get an 18 day leverage over waiting till the results come out..

If I fail.. doesn't hurt as I would have spent.. approx 15 days or so. back to L1 track

4 months is enough. Just start once the results are out. If you need to study something, study ethics (first SS is the same).

I think I may start in a week or 2. I have to do something to keep my mind off of Level 1

I'm starting this coming Sunday. Sharing my friend's Schweser materials for L2 2009 until I find out for sure I've passed and then I'll be buying my own.

As soon as I get schweser stuff, which I would be able to get only after register for Level 2 soo beg. of February for me. Now I'm gonna enjoy the break. So weird not having to study.

Already started !
Logged in yesterday to Schweser Level 2 and reading the Curriculum. I think 4 months wouldn't be enough, 6 months should be OK.

Seriously?! You don't even want to take a break for a week? I throw up a little bit when I think about studying right now.

The only thing CFA related that I plan to do until the beginning of January is AF. I'm afraid I'll get burnt out otherwise. I think I'll start studying the second week of Jan. from some 2007 Level 2 materials that a co-worker has. If I failed, then oh well, but if I pass, it will be that much less stressful.

I'm going to be bad ass and buy the material next week hoping that I passed. I'm sure I could sell it on ebay if I don't make it. Stupid CDN/US exchange rate is making the Schweser material more expensive.

Also, there is study session 1 available for level 2 here:

Also, here is the outline:

This material is the kind of stuff I like. I'm looking forward to level 2

I might buy Schweser/Stalla on Jan 1. Not sure yet if I'm taking this year but I figure it can't hurt to get an overview and then dive in CFAI texts for 2010.

Ali, what Schweser product(s) are you buying for LII?

I'm afraid to buy anything yet. I don't want to jynx myself.

I feel the same way, but I have to get started in Jan. I like to read both Schweser and CFAI so I'll need plenty of time.

I'm going to go with just the 'Essential Solution' like last time. I tried watching a friend's Schweser videos and didn't like them. I much prefer digesting stuff by reading rather than listening/watching. You?

I've started looking at some 2008 L2 Schweser material. The first few sections apparently don't differ much from 2009.

I hate to say it, but I was excited to start reading some new material (and don't know what to do with my free time now!).

that outline is no joke, a world of difference form Level 1

For LI, I used "essential" and thought it was sufficient, although it would've been nice to have some more resources (videos/online class) for weak areas. I thought maybe the online class & videos would be helpful for LII. I guess I should try to find out on the LII forum.
