When India will be eligible to conduct CFA exam for June 2012?

Hi Guys,
I have registered for June 2012 exam.
Hope preparation will be going pretty hard….. :) :)
When will CFA institute will declare the india as center to conduct CFA exam generally for June exam?
How do they notify?? Will they send e-mail or sumthing?? As of now I have registered for Singaprore..
 
Don’t they already have exams in India? A friend of mine appeared for L3 in Mumbai in June 2011.
 
They do. However, they are fighting a legal case in India regarding the compliance with Indian educational guidelines (how they got into this situation is a very convoluted story, for some other time). Every year, they manage to get a “stay order” from the courts post which they are allowed to conduct the exams in India. The outcome of the case is yet to “mature” taking into account the slow pace at which the Indian legal system moves. Am pretty sure that they will have the exams in India in 2012 too.

Actually india is not the center when I have registered for Jun 2012. Then from friends I come to know that, then CFA institute will request Indian Courts to allow them to conduct test in india.( Permission will be grant for current term only, so for next time they need to request again for Dec exam and so on.

The Delhi High Court allowed the CFA Institute to conduct it’s June 2009 exams in India on April 04, 2009
The Delhi High Court gave ‘provisional permission’ to the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Institute for June 2010 exam on 18th February 2010
CFA Institute got the permission from Delhi High Court to conduct examination in India for the June 2011 Examination on January 27,2011
So, this year, if it is approved, it may be between any of these dates i.e. between last week of this month to mid-April.

i havent registered for exam for june yet, i am hoping that india will have the exam center
but i will register in 1st week of feb, i am thinking which country to choose for time being..
 
There are quite a few options. For me, it came down to choosing between Bangkok or Singapore. I chose Bangkok.
