Whoever were writing this exam for the 2nd time or more, what do you think about this exam... what do you think are your chances of passing this exam... any advice for the rest of us?

I wrote the December exam. I really really wasn't prepared but I did it because I wanted to see how taking the exam was and see what kind of questions.

Taking it again now, I feel pretty much like everyone else, that a few topics could end up burning me but overall I knew what I needed to know going in.

If you're writing it in December, make sure you go through each Schweser book and then master each book with Qbank. That's personally how I mastered what I did know.

Of course if i fail... maybe you should be asking someone else.

i was writting for the 3rd time. I am so scared to fail again. i was more confident with the morning paper. I am not sure about the afternoon i found it abit harder than morning. Right now i am not sure wheather i will pass or not I just pray that I should pass.

I looked at you ages you guys in one of the threads last week you are all young in your twenties. i am turning 37 in August i actiually skew this distribution positive with a mean>median>mode. I am an outlier. While most of you guy have more time to do this again in the unilikely event of failling, i don't have time, I am getting old.

you took the 3rd time? so u registered 2007 the first time right? So did they send you the 2008 cfai text and did you pay the full 900 or 600?

respect!

My 2nd time, almost passed in Dec '07, did pretty well in FA and Ethics, but not so good in Deriv/bonds, hope for the best this time. I did Q-bank this time and helped, also thought the Schweser flash cards were good for coverage of topical facts. I have a CPA and this test is much broader, and somewhat trickier.

2nd time here, i felt 10 times better then last december,.if I fail this time, I will definetely kill it in dec08.

nogiveup, one more attempt and youll get your PhD on level 1 lol

kudos, nogiveup, you are living up to your name, and you will make it...you will probably be much more prepared for L2 and L3 than those who did it with a short cut.

Is it really worth giving it 7 times??

I wouldn't have done that...

this was my second time.

i'm like meazza and was in over my head last december.

i think i better prepared myself for the second time, but i still wished i had another week. with another week of practice exams, i think i'd feel a lot more confident.

i dunno how i did. i wouldn't be surprised if it went either way. like most, the morning session was "easier" compared to the afternoon, which was a killer.

if i fail again, i would seriously consider not taking it again...

*fingers crossed*

It's amazing how studying 400 hours is considered a short cut lol
