More likely the recruiter just wanted to know what other firms' policies were. It's not like that information is published somewhere. Recruiters are very concerned about relative competitiveness with regard to getting and keeping employees. Prospects are a great source of information in this regard.
It's not always about you! I wouldn't give a second thought to your answer.
