A little fun here. Of course the CFA doesn’t allow candidates to say that a higher score implies better investing ability or anything else, but it’s fun to compete. So…I decided to start the BSD Award. It’s the 40/60/80 score times the point values given. The winner gets nothing but mad AF respect for an amazing test (and future respect when discussing his study strategy to Level 3 noobs).
I know it’s not me, but I’ll start it:
I have:
214 points at 80% = 171.2
74 points at 60% = 44.4
72 points at 40% = 28.8
BSD Score = 244.4
Note: I had to edit my score

The bsd award goes to the guy who wasted the least about of time with his nose in the books studying, right? Lowest score to still pass?

Wasn’t me. Morning was brutal as expected.

74 points at 60% is not 74, its 44 :)
I got 55*.4 + 52*.6 + 253*.8 = 255.6
*facepalm* It’s fixed now. :) And I actually passed, lol

The formula kind of sucks though, if you got > 70% on the PM, its either a 5/6 or 6/6…..so should probably use .92 for the PM 70’s

not true, as not all sections are out of 6 points/minutes

I suck so much I wondered how to calculate this score at first ROFL
104 points 40%
145 points 60%
111 points 80%
BSD: 217, DO I WIN THE AWARD FOR WORST SCORE ?

256 here, although only giving 80% for a > 70% PM is wrong I think, since if you’re above 70% it means you got 5/6 or 6/6…so 83% or 100%…..

It’s hard to tell because an AM question isn’t normally distributed like that. For the purposes of this little fun contest, the only thing that matters is the scale is consistent and equally applied.

274.80
300hours gives me:
estimated score: 76.3%
min: 71.1%
max: 94.9%

A guy in the other thread had 15 above 70… he won BSD

218.2
Barely passed but doesn’t matter. Nights with family. Mornings at the gym. so glad to have life back forever!

Passed with….204.6
125 @ 80% = 100
89 @ 60% = 53.4
128 @ 40% = 51.2
whew.

Damn, I had 14.
Should’ve nailed AM institutional. Was pretty confident on that one.

Estimate only - not your actual score
Your theoretical maximum and minimum scores:

67.1%

Congrats Mr. Smart, and thank you. You were a fabulous resource here throughout the process. I knew we would all be in trouble if you didn’t pass, and your excellent score reflects your understanding of the material.
I passed as well. My 40/60/80 score is 245.40. Seems like a strong pass, but nothing earth shattering. Only real disappointment for me was 50-70 on Ethics, as that has always always been my strongest subject.

80/60/40 is 269.8, I saw somebody else with a better AM in the results thread though.
