Why I'm I the only one who thought PM was hard but AM straightforward?

I luckily finished the PM and I thought it was fairly…don’t want to use the word easy but maybe one notch below that word. But I thought the PM was hard with some tricky ones and overall thought I did worse than AM.
Anyone else feel this way?
Congrats on finishing everyone btw!

Ethics GIPS and the last vignette were v tricky. The middle stuff was pretty easy in PM.

I did. The last vignette was basically all guesses. Short on time and I couldn’t think anymore.

I felt the same way when I walked out of the test, I think part of it has to do with how you prepared. The PM mock exams were easy, so on a relative basis the PM seemed harder than I expected. Also ethics was ridiculous and the last vignette required concentration right as you’re exhausted after 5-6 hours of testing, you probably remember that more than the middle vignettes which I didn’t think were that bad.
I focused my preparation on the morning, prepared for the worst and had gotten bogged down in some mock exams, so when I made it through with no issues it made it feel relatively easy. I have a feeling more people struggled with quickly coming up with concise answers and getting them efficiently down on paper than understanding the questions themselves.

I’m in the same boat. Thought the morning was much better than the afternoon. However, it may very well be that the beginning and end of the afternoon exam were brutal and might be biasing my opinion of it. Other than that, I don’t remember squat from Saturday.

Great thanks so many people like me found last vignette tough. :)
Also, i found equity tough ???

Yea I think all of you are making a good similiar point. A couple difficult vignettes coupled with mental exhaustion in later part of PM skewed my judgement of difficultly. I always gave CFA credit for making ethics fair and straightforward, but this level was the hardest I’ve ever experienced.
I overprepared for the AM and I believe it paid off. I know some people say that if you think the AM wasn’t difficult you probably did poorly. I agree to an extent and understand the point but I was looking up answers when I got home and I really do feel I did well in AM but then again some very subjective questions so who knows, maybe I actually got a 55% in AM.

Actually i am pretty confident on 130 marks in morning and pessimistic on 50 marks attempted
E(M) = 0.7 * 130 + 0.2 * 50 or 108/180 or 60%

I feel you. Morning paper was fair (plus no long required return computations!).
If you consider ethics and gips are very subjective - one can easily get most of them wrong , thats 10 or more marks. Even if you are very smart you could easily get another 10 or so incorrect from the rest of the paper. That takes your overal mark to borderline.

im confident of 65% morning and min 40/60 afternoon. if i fail its to do with my terrible handwriting.

I felt the same way as you last year and passed with a seemingly decent margin. Also, ended up doing better on the AM than PM as most people said COULDN’T happen.

AM was straight
PM was gay (happy)
Ethics was the umbigious judgmental bastard
