Why pass rates still low?

What are some reasons why L2 pass rates are low considering that the candidate pool consists of L1 passouts. You know like other reasons than the curriculum being a little more difficult.
Do the candidates become overconfident and lazy? is it the itemset format?
 
Multiple reasons. Other than the fact that it is more difficult, I’d posture that people sign up for L1 gung ho and then a lot can happen in 18 months so by the time they are to start L2 a bunch of things in their life has changed and it isn’t the #1 priority as they move ahead in their careers and family life, maybe have a little kid all the sudden. Next thing you know…available study time next to nothing….not that I know anything about that :)
I think the terms “overconfident” and “lazy” are not terms that I would use. I’d use phrases such as “logistical difficulties” and “reprioritization of time”.
That being said, a lot of people have the exams paid for anyway by their companies, so why not go ahead and see if you can get by it on suboptimal studying. Might as well take it to get a gauge on it.
 
Because any clown can pass L1. L1 is designed to hook you into the system. After passing one level, people will say “I can do it!” and sign up for more exams. If CFAI smacked down candidates with a tough initial exam, far fewer people would continue the program.

Did you have someone write the exams for you? I find it hard you passed the exams which are based on following minor details in the questions. I asked for reasons why pass rates are low? Not for your stupid dragon picture, hotshot. We all know L2 is a beast but I asked why? and since you cant answer a simple question looks like Mcdonalds might be for you….Je ne peux pas croire que votre stupidité

When i went to France a long time ago,the peeps were quite nice overall as long as you at least try to speak French…but then again i am neither brit nor american..so maybe they did not fall into the stereotypes we all love to hate them for…lol

Yet again, you show no deductive reasoning and have no cognitive abilities. As is obvious, I didn’t question why people fail, therefore didn’t get violated as you will.
