It is the company's responsibility to protect the trade secret. Trade secrets are lawfully reverse-engineerable, for instance, and once the cat's out of the bag, the protection is over.
I also doubt Assange or Wikileaks are explicitly paying for this information. That'd be espionage (industrial or vanilla), and easily enforceable.
