I gave Wiley Mock 1 today and got 72/120.
AM - 34/60 PM - 38/60
Anyone else given this mock? Or plan to give it? This is my second mock and the first was pretty bad. Had given Schweser Vol 1 - 1 and got 63/120. This is an improvement all coz of Wiley and am going to give 2 more Mocks (1 Wiley & 1 CFAI) but want to cross 70%.
Also, i have access to Wiley question bank. But i have yet to do all CFAI Topic Test except QM and AI which i have finished. What would you suggest i do to get my score upwards of 70%?
And out of all 6 Schweser Mocks which is the most difficult? Is that comparable to CFAI Mock?

Assuming by Mock 1, you mean what they call Mock A, I didn’t do that one (and probably won’t at this point). I did Mock B and the 11th Hour Mock. Scored in the high 60s in both, but I’d say they’re a bit on the difficult side. I found Part 1 (morning) of the 11th Hour Mock to be particularly difficult (scored a 60% on it). I redeemed myself in Part 2 (afternoon) this morning though with a 76%.
Their mocks can be tough but vary in difficulty between sections (AM seem harder than PM), depending on how many conceptual questions are asked. Basit wrote all these questions and he loves to drill the concepts. The 11th Hour Part 1 opened right after ethics with three swaps on three different rate curves (LIBOR, Euribor and Hibor) and required calculating all the PV factors by hand for both initiation and at a forward date. I barely finished the exam in time.
That said, I’m once again disappointed in Wiley’s online mock delivery. Many tables in questions are missing labels, and at one point I had to guess which balance sheet was which for two different companies (it was an easy educated guess though). Also, I found at least one error in an answer. Then the system lost my Mock B Part 2 score today (it was there yesterday, now it’s gone today).
The worst part is Mock B had a whole vignette on Asset Backed Securities, and the 11th Hour Mock had a few questions on it in the Fixed Income topics. Not good when that section was completely removed from the curriculum this year.
You can do better Wiley.

I appreciate your feedback, Jaywill. Have you written to the Wiley team regarding these issues?
Btw, I’ve personally written the best part of two of the three Level II mocks, and yes I love drilling concepts.

Hiya Basit. I chatted with customer service who recommended I post in the Slack group which I did with, no response thus far. I’ll write up something more detailed once the exam is over and I can dedicate some thought to some fair feedback. The program is in great shape overall in my opinion, but I think the Mock exam delivery needs more attention.
You can always tell who wrote the question when Jose Mourinho is chatting with Diego Costa about active portfolio weights.

Similar results. I got a 62% combined which is significantly less than I was getting with Schweser (averaging just over 70%). But I could really tell they were drilling concepts.
I also had the same problem with some charts not showing up! One of the questions on Mock A involved a binomial tree which showed the broken image icon on my my Mac and iPad. Kind of frustrating.

Anybody else find the Wiley practice exams way harder than schweser? I was scoring around 70 and just took a Wiley exam and got low 60s on morning and afternoon.

I just gave the morning session of CFAI mock. AM - 41/60 I’d say the Wiley mock i gave is a better representation of CFAI Mock. From what i read on other posts i understand that the exam is gonna be a little easier than the CFAI mock. Hope that is true.

I finished all three of Wiley’s mock exams and felt they consistently became harder and harder - both in topics tested and errors found. I can’t remember specifics, but I submitted at least 4 or 5 questions via the students discussion only to see Professor Jackson writing back saying I was right and the question was either worded poorly, or there was an error in their answer.
That aside, I truly hope Wiley’s mocks are harder than the real thing seeing as how Basit hammers and hammers some of these concepts. I finished all 3 mocks in time, but very lopsided sometimes blasting through 3 or 4 items sets only to sit on one or two for much to long and have to rush at the end.
Can anyone chime in on Wiley’s difficulty compared to the actual exam?
FWIW I am doing better on the CFA topic tests and I am cautiously optimistic.
