Work ex approval after applying on or after 13th august

Interesting Vicky, if CFAI will need another 10 business days to check your updated description or it won’t take that much time for you. Today is the 6th day for me.
 
Did you get an email at CFAI approval?
Also any number showing up in decision days remaining for society ?
 
I applied on the 11th got my work experience approved within a week and am now waiting on my local society, decision days remaining showed up after CFAI approved my work experience. I dont know how long its going to take to get my local society to approve or how they go about it - but i hope sooner than later as I have grown extreamly tired of waiting for all things CFA…
 
My boss used to be on the board of my local soceity and he says they have a monthly meeting, and one of the items in the meeting is new applicants. It may be different for other societies, but if not then soceity approval time is dependent on when the CFAI approves relative to when the next soceity meeting is scheduled.
 
I just spoke with someone on my local society’s board and they just informed my that my application missed the cut off for this month (even though I submitted on test results day) and I will now have to wait another month!!! Until when CFA institute…Until When

edit: just saw my application approved by CFAI. just waiting for my local society now which is NYSSA.

Question:
If society memebership is optional - why do i have to wait for them to approve my membership if CFAI has approved my work experience? anyone know the answer?
