Hello All,
I am among the fortunate 49% who have passed this year’s level 3 exam. Still can’t believe that all the learning is over…
I’m setting up my application for one of the CFA societies in order to get the charter and I wonder how the work experience description should be done. For the moment I just put a couple of bullet points describing what I did in my jobs, but I read a post saying that it should be more like a cover letter, describing really in detail what my job was about, day-to-day activities and even mentioning how much time I spent on those activities. What do you think?
Second, how does CFA Institute verify the work experience? They don’t ask for any reference directly relating to the jobs, so do you think they just rely on my description or will they ask me for proof (like work certificates)? I’d like to make things easier for CFAI so that they can go quickly, any advice is welcome.
Thanks.
