Blamey, if you wouldn't mind telling us, how did you revise your description?

Analysis, Support training and implementation of Portfolio Management Software tools for use by Hedge Funds. Analysis includes participation in the specification and review process.

Company Overview: Company XXX Provides portfolio management software to Hedge Funds. This product is used as an integral part of our clients Investment decision making process by providing the client with the tools required to track and manage their portfolios, evaluate trading activity, calculate values and attribute performance.

My Role as a Business Consultant involved training and supporting clients with using the software in order to track, value and manage the Hedge Funds that they manage. In order to do this role I need to have a detailed understanding of the daily functions clients perform, the products they trade (Including equities, fixed Income, Futures, Options, CDS, CFD's, MBS and Interest Rate Swaps), how these products function, how they are valued and how performance is attributed in a multi-currency environment.

The role also involved discussing product enhancements with clients to improve the functionality of the software.

I guess, just putting more finance descriptions in and using CFA language to describe the Job.

swaptiongamma, I know you are joking but I still feel the need to defend myself. That's a pretty accurate job description. I left out some stuff that's not CFA related but it takes up a small percentage of what I do, mostly technical stuff. It still revolves around improving the software for clients.

Blamey - I think it is legit - you earned it.

Sorry Blamey - did not mean it in that sense. You have really earned it bro!

I still have L2 and L3 to go and then I'll draft my experience in such a way that they will have to accept it.

Presently I write softwares for Portfolio Management, Asset Allocation and Advisory proposal generation. I know it's not that-much relevant to what CFAI needs, but with few good 'LOS' words and 'CBOK' copy-paste, I think I can pass their filter.

Well done for getting accepted. I know how relieved you must be to bag those months and see the CFA words closer than they appear.

swaptiongamma, any good news?

Could anyone please share some "good 'LOS' words" (for software developer in the financial industry)?

Thanks.
