Wrote after the Time called

must be devastating getting the PCP letter…. just a warning to anyone who’s taking the exam, make sure you do not give the proctors any reason to write you up, not even scratching your ass if it’s itchy. It’s too much at risk to get disqualified for something so trivial and stupid.

Do these come by email? I’m certain that I didn’t get one because I’m very careful to follow all the rules, but I hadn’t updating my mailing address on the website.

I think Op must have continued writing even after the time was up.Indian proctors are generally not that strict to write a report to the institute for small things like stretching or just holding the pencil in hand.

i actually sat on the front row and made a crack about it with the proctors and said “guess you guys don’t have to worry about me cheating since I’m sitting right in front of you.” hehe

what does “PCP” mean?
Haha. If you don’t know, then definitely not what you think it means. Hint: it’s not the weekend experiment that you worry about “will I be drug tested this week”

Assuming that you actually did write after the cut off time, after all the warnings, why would you do it?. you actually piss me off with your thread question.. its plain vanella that your score will be voided

“Writing Past Time Called
Candidates must not continue to write or erase after time is called.
In violation of the rules and regulations of the CFA Program, at the conclusion of the morning and/or afternoon session of the exam, some candidates continued to write and/or erase. The Professional Conduct Program investigated each report of a suspected violation. At the conclusion of the investigation, if the Professional Conduct Program determined the candidate wrote and/or erased past time called, the candidate was advised of the findings of a violation and recommended sanction. Each candidate was provided an opportunity to accept the Professional Conduct Program’s findings and recommended sanction or request a Hearing Panel.
From 1 January 2010 to 31 December 2013, the following sanctions were imposed for this violation, either as accepted by the candidate or imposed by a hearing panel composed of Disciplinary Review Committee members:
  • 698 Private Reprimands
  • 48 One-Year Suspensions
  • 1 Three-Year Suspension”
Source: CFAI website under Exam-Related Disciplinary Actions
OP is probably going to get a private reprimand, given he/she doesn’t fight it. Fight it and it might become a suspension and a longer wait before you can participate again. Any sanction makes the result void, so better luck next year OP..

Just out of curiosity, why does people getting PCP generally have single digit AF points.
