May be those who are failed have got this email……………….as Bilal said “Going for membership = $” and those who failed will not likely go for membership :D

Yes i did, even the ones who passed got it .. relax :)
 
Similar to most of you I received a “next steps” email….
I would love to begin my application process now but would be embarrased if I do not pass and my Director and Colleagues provided references.
Do they begin the reference process AFTER they are certain you have passed the exam? Has anyone had the experience I just described? I get sick to my stomach just thinking about it…..
Has anyone emailed the institute sharing the emotional torment this “next steps” email gives the candidates?

And I certainly wouldn’t give them any money. It’s highly unlikely that CFAI will refund your money in the event that you don’t pass L3.
 
Guys, don’t get excited with this email. I got this last year and failed. it means nothing but want you to start thinking ahead if you pass.
 
You should apply now for membership. Otherwise you’ll be waiting a long time as they clear the backlog when everyone applies on the first day. And if you fail? Oh well, you’re still a regular member (though approval doesn’t come with an obligation to join).
