years to get the CFA

one more question:

could i pass although getting a <50% mark at any section if its offset by the other sections results?

You know, M1 most people on this forum I tell to cool it and stop posting stuff about midget sex fantasies. You need to lighten up.

You can take these exams and pass them. Lots of people do. You can leave a section totally blank and pass the exam. There is no due date to pass L 3 although at some point I think CFAI makes you pay them more money to re-register.

You know what happens if you don't pass the exams? Not much. You learned something but not enough and endured a little shame at the office.

Oh. And we need a name a little more frivolous. How about something like 'Kojak'?

thanks for the info. Just wanted to know what i am facing.

and, why kojak? I mean, wouldnt like to use that name and happens to be an ugly and stupid animal round there.

Basically the passing criteria, that the CFAI has stated is determined as 70% of the top 1%, by comittee and there is one more method I can't remember. Basically since nobody has ever passed a CFA exam with 100% (CFAI statement), they have stated you can get 0 on one section on the exam and still pass and the 40/60/80 method of test results usally indicate a pass mark of less than 70%, 70% is a good target to get a pass.
