Hi,
I think it really varies from a person to another. I had not heard Level III was that hard and so when I started studying I was quite confident. And then I got totally overwhelmed.
I passed 1 and 2 at first attempt within 6 months (i mean level i in December and Level II 6-month later in June) and it was quite a lot of studying but I felt I mastered the situation more or less. Each time I went to the exam knowing I had a good chance to pass, and at the end of each I felt I had done well.
I took Level III in 2014, felt overwhelmed all the way, failed, studied again (lot’s) in 2015, had to drop a few weeks before the exam for personal reasons but still, I felt like nothing was under control anyways. The content of the exam is very qualitative, requires a lot of concentration to study (I consider myself having concentration issues). I find it hard to motivate myself to do some exercises and to judge how well I did after each exercise because comparing your answer to the one provided is always pretty subjective when it’s not about checking boxes. I am still feeling very unsecure for the next attempt. I don’t know how to gain back confidence.
Just my experience…
