In Zurich we had a police and fire brigade parade sounding their alarms or something passing the test center for like 5min. I didn't notice it that much because I was using ear plugs. The air condition was temporarily turned on as well, which apparently was so noisy, that they turned it off quite quickly.
Also, during the PM session a proctor took my watch away, no explanation what so ever. I totally freaked out about getting a PCP filing, not even knowing why. I stayed to finish the exam but I could not get the PCP issue off my head entirely. In Addition, not knowing how much time I spend on a question made me guess far more often than I liked. After the exam was over, they told me that my watch (a digital pocket watch, no alarms, with a stop function) was a prohibited item, and I already saw my name going to 200K finance professional. But since I showed my watch and got it approved when entering the testing area I was told that it was OK and they won't file anything. However, I ensured to get the address from the girl next to me as witness reference, just in case.
I only wonder why they had to scare me in such a way, if they were not to file anything in the first place? I am really between really glad that I didn't get a PCP filing and totally mad that they deprived me of my time management device and scared the hell out of me.
Is it advisable to file this as an "exam comment" via CFAI?
Next time I'll get a WRIST WATCH and show each FUNCTION to the proctors before starting the exam!
