How many hours did you put in level 2?

I am just curious that how many hours did you guys devote for this level 2 exam.
Ok, I say first. I don’t think the 300 hours rule posted on CFAI website would be enough for L2.
I put almost 480 hours in total with the intensed 200 hours in the final month. I am the 2012 Dec level I guy, so there is only about 4 month for preparing after getting the level I result. If not, I bet I would need more time to recap knowledge and 480 might not be enough.
How about you guys?
 
I definitely put in way more than 300 hours. However, post exam, I feel like I didn’t put in enough.
 
I didn’t keep an exact count, but I think the technical term would be a “crapload.”
 
Thanks that I am not the only one think 300 hours is just a “official joke”…

lol someone’s a little excited.

I remember putting I approximately 250 hours
 
300 is definetely not enough
Not to panick after the exam like some guys here, just put mere 1000 hours and enjoy June and July.
Actually in such case you will most probably forget about the exam and get your pass by surprise e-mail from the Institute

I defeat all man. Soon I defeat real champion.
 
Hours of what though really? Studying? Plenty of that.
Hours of Gut Wrenching Anxiety for a Fate that is Nebulous? I put in TONS of those hours.
Something stole my soul these past several months…. and it ain’t coming back…
 
Just under 200 hours for me. If I pass I will feel like a genius, if I do not I did not prepare enough. Simple enough, right?
 
about 450 hours +/- It seemed like a little overkill after taking the actual exam but still I want to pass and get on with my life…
 
I put in 80 hours (16 hours a day Monday-Friday before the exam on Saturday). No practice tests. Will report back as to whether I pass/fail. The oddsmakers are saying fail already.
 
I’m a re taker so one week off at the end at 8-10 hrs a day and 2-3 nights a week for 2 hrs and 4-8 hours per weekend for 8 weeks -> 120-180 hrs. I thought this was enough to fully relearn the stuff.
tehre is no point in putting in any hours more than 3 months before the exam as you will forget everything. I forgot it all and had to re-read the material the last week again
Let’s not kid ourselves - this is a pure memorization exam with not a lot of real understanding required, or thinking required. So long as you can committ to memory the end of chapter summaries, formulas and questions and know the way they test the materil in the test questions - you will be OK
 
1 minus the amount neede to pass. Round 5 I’m starting later and just doing a monthly review and p test to make sure everything is still fresh. Starting before January is a waste imo

I disagree, you can make the case for 1 being a memorization test but not really for 2.
